Olde Rope Mill Park - Woodstock, Georgia

Valentine's Day walk at Old Rope Mill Park, Woodstock, Georgia. It was a beautiful clear day and I enjoyed the walk. Here are a few photographs I took along the way.

Birds

It's a rainy Sunday and I can't get motivated to go out and do what I had planned for today so in an effort to accomplish something, besides putting the roast in the crock pot, I went through my photos looking for bird photos. Here is an assortment. Nothing of too much importance, but something to say (to myself really) that I accomplished something today!

Japan in B&W

Thanks to my friend Kim yesterday giving me a B&W challenge to show a B&W photograph of mine on Facebook, I started to think about which of my photographs might be interesting without the color. I pulled some from a trip to Japan I took and I think they turned out well in black and white. I hope you enjoy them!

Bluegrass on Saturday

Cartersville, Georgia - in  northwest Georgia, population just under 20,000, that's where I spent my Saturday this weekend at the 2nd annual Cartersville Bluegrass and Folk Festival. I do not play a musical instrument but hubby does and I'm game for seeing something new and taking photos. Here is the event through my lens.

Biking Silver Comet Trail

Today was a gorgeous Saturday. Hubby and I went biking and drove to a portion of the Silver Comet Trail in Atlanta area.

I took my camera of course. I will say this, bike riding is not really conducive to a good photo opportunity because frankly I was too lazy to get off my bike and back on too many times. As I rode though I think what stood out to me the most were the wonderful shadows and highlights from the sun through the trees. I took a few shots with this in mind but I am a LAZY photographer when it comes to making sure my settings are correct so I photoshopped a few... I hope you enjoy them anyway and get just a bit of a feel of bike riding on the first cool crisp day this year in Georgia!
